McAfee Identity Protection offers comprehensive protection to help prevent identity theft. The product helps you protect your identity effortlessly with multiple layers of proactive monitoring, detection, automatic alerts and an intuitive user experience.
How do I get my McAfee Identity Protection subscription?
To get the benefits of full identity theft protection through a McAfee Identity Protection subscription, simply log in to your McAfee account and purchase the McAfee Identity Protection product. Or follow this link. You will then be prompted to activate your new McAfee Identity Protection product by completing a separate enrollment and authentication process. Once the enrollment process is complete and your new McAfee Identity Protection account is active, you are automatically enrolled in powerful daily credit monitoring and change of address alerts, among many other features. You also will be able to log in to your new McAfee Identity Protection account and view your most current Experian Credit Report, as well as set up your Internet scan alerts and Lost Wallet protection.
How do I receive my Experian® Credit Report and monitoring alerts?
Your McAfee Identity Protection membership includes an Experian Credit Report when you sign up, and then unlimited Experian Credit Reports at any time during your subscription. Your credit report will be available online, in seconds, once your identity has been verified. You can also purchase additional 3-bureau credit reports & 3-bureau scores at your convenience online.

How much does McAfee Identity Protection Cost?
McAfee Identity Protection for an individual is only $109.99/Yr. (or $9.99 per Month). The Family Option (subscriber + spouse and children) $199.99/Yr. (or $16.99 per Month).
What is the difference between a McAfee Identity Protection Individual option and Family Protection option?
The Individual option consists of:
- Full-featured identity protection for one adult individual
The Family Protection option consists of:
- Full-featured identity protection for two separate adult individuals, 18 years of age and older.
- Credit monitoring for multiple children, up to the age of 18 years.
What is 3-Bureau Credit Monitoring?
3-Bureau Credit Monitoring monitors your credit file daily across all bureaus (Experian, Equifax and TransUnion) and pro-actively alerts you to credit applications, account creation, balance changes and delinquencies.
What is Public Records Monitoring?
Public Records Monitoring prevents the misuse of your personal information. Public databases like liens, court records, bankruptcies, and the USPS Change of Address database are scanned and you are alerted if necessary to help prevent inappropriate use of your personal information by someone else.
What is Internet Scanning (or Internet Surveillance)?
Internet Scanning keeps your identity safe online from cyber criminals by checking your personal information against a frequently updated database of Internet back alleys and chat rooms used by identity thieves. You are alerted with recommended actions if your information is found in such sites.
How does the Lost Wallet Protection service work?
Lost Wallet Protection helps you quickly deal with the emergency of a lost or stolen wallet. Just one phone call to McAfee Identity Protection support helps you notify and cancel your credit and debit card accounts and order replacement cards.
How does Free Unlimited Phone Support Work?
McAfee Identity Protection offers free one-on-one phone support for any product related issues or questions. In addition, if you ever need it dedicated fraud resolution agents will work with you throughout the necessary steps required to help resolve identity issues.
Automatic Alerts notify you of any issues that affect your identity. McAfee Identity Protection sends you email and SMS-text alerts if suspicious activity is detected by our 24x7x365 scans of the credit system, public databases and internet back alleys.
Which credit reporting company's credit report do I receive?
McAfee Identity Protection provides you an Experian® Credit Report.
How many Experian Credit Reports can I get?
As an active McAfee Identity Protection member, you get unlimited Experian Credit Reports. You can view each report online for 30 days.
Will ordering my credit report hurt my score?
No it will not. Any time your credit report is pulled - including when you order a copy of your credit report directly from the credit reporting company - an inquiry is added to your report. Only some of those inquiries appear to creditors and therefore impact your credit score. Inquiries that were made for credit cards or loans for which you applied will be shown to creditors. Inquiries added when you request a copy of your credit report or when an employer checks your credit report do not appear to creditors. We are pulling your credit report on your behalf, so the inquiry on your credit report will not be shown to creditors and will not affect your credit score.
However, ALL inquiries will be displayed on copies of your credit file disclosure that you order directly from the credit reporting companies' consumer assistance centers. This is done so you know who has been looking at your credit. Some inquiries on your report are accompanied by a description of why the report was pulled.
What is the refund policy if a transaction or enrollment fails?
If your request is within the first 30 days of purchase, we'll gladly provide you a full refund. We do not provide partial refunds. To request a refund, please contact Customer Support.
What if I forget my Username and Password?
If you have forgotten your Username or Password, click "Forgot your Username or Password?" link at the Login page. Enter your full name, last 4 digits of your Social Security Number, and date of birth, and click Submit. You will then be prompted to enter your mother's maiden name, and answer the question you chose as your "Reminder Phrase." If you answer correctly, you will be prompted to change your Password.
